Pictionary Olympics

Merriment and fun were in abundance at Manistee’s Bluefish Kitchen and Bar on Friday, April 17, 2026, one of the funniest nights in Manistee. Lots of laughter, friendly competition was on deck for 12 Pictionary Olympics teams, from local businesses and groups, playing in our 13th Annual Pictionary Olympics.

In just 41 seconds, after 4 rounds of play, and for the 5th time, “Charlie’s Guardian Angels” took home the 1st place trophy with year-long bragging rights. “Giddy-up Grannies,” dressed in creative costumes, came in close behind with 45 seconds. Third place went to “Boyer Agency”. This was Boyer Agency’s 12th appearance at Pictionary, the most of any team. And the first-time team “Red, White & Brew” captured the “Haven’t Got a Clue” Award for last place.

Katie Biehl, WSCC Instructional Designer & LWS Specialist, kept events lively and fun as Master of Ceremonies, with Jon Houswirth, Manistee County Prosecutor, and Laura Heintzelman, Manistee Community Foundation, serving as judges to be certain all the rules were followed. City Councilwoman, Lani Rozga, managed the time clock, and District Forest Ranger for the Huron/Manistee National Forest, Chris Fredrick, dressed as a HUGE bunny rabbit, was the “secret word board person” showing the word to the audience.

The “People’s Choice Award” for best team costume went to “Giddy-up Grannies”. This was the 4th time the “Grannies” team has received the People’s Choice Award. They just keep coming up with creative/unique costumes each year! Dave Wallace won the 50/50 drawing, then generously donated his winnings back to the LWV. Attendees enjoyed snacks and a cash bar provided by the Blue Fish Kitchen + Bar.

We look forward to seeing YOU at the next Pictionary Olympics, coming in the spring of 2027!
