Pictionary Olympics
If you weren’t at the Manistee Golf and County Club Friday night, April 28, 2023, you missed one of the funniest nights in Manistee. Lots of laughter, friendly, fun competition was on deck with twelve Pictionary Olympic teams from local businesses and individual groups playing in the 10th Annual Pictionary Olympics sponsored by the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Manistee County.
Guest Celebrity Emcee, Sarah Howard, Executive Director of Manistee County Council on Aging and Wagoner Center, masterfully and merrily guided the action with able assistance from Lindsey Marquardt, County Clerk, handling the Timer button, plus judges, Karen Goodman, County Commissioner, and Cindy Lundberg, City County member making certain all the rules were followed. The secret word board person was LWV Manistee County member, Dan Behring!
The competition was tight! ABC #2 (Arcadia Book Club) team emerged victorious winning the beautiful 1st place trophy, with a total time of 50 seconds after 4 rounds of play. Book Group Grannies came in 2nd with 56 seconds and Stick Figures took 3rd place with 57 seconds! Bringing up the rear taking home the beautiful Haven’t Got a Clue Award was the Manistee News Advocate team.
For the third year, a People’s Choice Award for best team costume was awarded. The Book Group Grannies easily won with their clever granny outfits, crazy hats, and canes!
LWV Manistee President, Nancy Behring said, “All proceeds for this FUN fundraiser go to support the mission of the LWV to register and educate voters, improve voter participation, and strengthen our democracy. The LWV is extremely grateful to all the businesses, individuals, and elected officials who contributed their time and talents to make this event successful and so much fun!”

Get Ready! Get Set! Draw!! Registration for Pictionary 2024 on April 26, 2024 at 7 PM at the Blue Fish Kitchen + Bar in Manistee is now open!
Gather up some co-workers or some friends and enter the competition! Click HERE to download an entry form. Fill it out and mail the entry form and a check payable to LWV Manistee County to PO Box 134, Manistee, MI 49660. Registration deadline is April 22.
